[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 지난 17일부터 19일까지 사흘간 최대 300mm 이상의 집중호우가 내린 가운데, 장금용 권한대행이 피해 현장을 점검하고 복구 상황을 진두지휘했다고 20일 밝혔다.

 

이번 집중호우로 의창구, 마산합포구 등 일부 지역에서 도로 침수, 수목 전도, 토사 유출, 농경지 피해 등의 크고 작은 피해가 접수되었으나 시와 소방, 경찰이 긴밀히 협력해 신속하게 응급조치를 한 결과 피해를 최소화할 수 있었다.

 

시는 권한대행 주재로 17일부터 19일까지 매일 대책 회의를 개최하여 담당 구역별  재해취약시설의 예찰 및 점검을 수시로 하였으며, 특히 산사태취약지역, 지하차도, 하천 등 인명 피해가 발생할 수 있는 재해취약시설에 대해서는 주민 대피 등 선제적 조치를 시행했다.

 

장 권한대행은 호우특보 해제 이후에도 많은 비가 내려 피해가 발생한 북면 하천 제방 유실 현장, 마산회원구 자족형 복합행정타운 조성사업 토사 유출 현장 등을 직접 방문하여 피해 복구 상황과 주민들의 안전을 점검하고, 신속한 피해 복구를 지시했다.

 

장금용 권한대행은 “요즘 날씨는 예측이 어려워 철저히 대비하지 않으면 큰 피해로 이어질 수 있다”며, “창원시는 인명 피해 우려 지역이나 재해취약시설 등을 지속적으로 예찰 및 점검하고 선제적 통제 및 대피를 시킴으로써, 인명피해가 없었고 재산 피해를 최소화할 수 있었다”고 말했다.
