[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 경남 합천군 전역에 호우경보가 발령되면서 기록적인 폭우가 쏟아져 일부 저지대 주택이 침수되고, 농경지가 유실되며, 도로 침수와 토사 유실 등의 피해가 발생했다.

 

합천군은 기상청의 호우경보 발효와 동시에 전 부서와 읍·면 공무원이 비상근무 체제에 돌입하며 비상 대응 체계를 한층 더 강화했다.

 

18일 오후부터 19일 오후까지 합천군에는 감당하기 어려운 수준의 폭우가 이어졌다. 

 

특히 19일 오전 10시부터 12시 사이에는 시간당 40mm 이상의 강우가 쏟아지며 피해가 더욱 커졌다.

 

김윤철 합천군수는 피해 최소화를 위해 19일 새벽부터 피해 현장 곳곳을 누비며 상황을 점검하고 주민들을 위로했으며, 신속한 복구를 약속하는 등 피해 최소화에 전 행정력을 동원했다.

 

특히 피해가 심했던 가회면, 대병면, 야로면, 합천읍 일대를 찾아 침수된 주택과 유실된 농경지를 직접 살피며 피해 주민들의 어려움을 청취했다.

 

김 군수는 “갑작스러운 폭우로 큰 피해를 입으신 주민 여러분께 깊은 위로의 말씀을 전한다”며 “군민들의 일상 회복을 위해 가용한 모든 자원과 역량을 동원해 신속하게 복구를 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
