▲ 창원특례시는 19일 ‘제21회 대마도의 날 기념식’을 개최했다.

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 19일 시청 시민홀에서 대마도의 날 기념사업 추진위원회 주관으로 ‘제21회 대마도의 날 기념식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 과거 대마도를 정벌한 이종무 장군의 장수 이씨 문중과 박홍신 장군의 밀양 박씨 문중 후손, 박언충 장군의 후손을 비롯한 시민 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 대마도가 우리의 영토였음을 확인하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

2부 행사로 진행된 역사 특강에서는 임영주 전 마산문화원장이 ‘대마도의 역사와 우리의 미래’를 주제로 특별 강연을 진행했다. 임 전 원장은 대마도의 역사적 배경과 그 의미에 관한 깊이 있는 내용을 전달하여 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

최해범 위원장은 “앞으로도 대마도의 역사적 가치를 널리 알리고, 미래 세대와 소통할 수 있는 다양한 행사를 마련하겠다”고 말했다. 

한편, ‘대마도의 날’은 조선 초기 이종무 장군이 대마도 정벌을 위해 마산포에서 출정한 날(6월 19일)을 기념일해 지정된 날로, 2005년 옛 마산시의회에서 전국 최초로 조례를 제정한 이후 매년 기념식을 개최하고 있다.

Changwon Special City announced that it held the ‘21st Tsushima Day Commemoration Ceremony’ hosted by the Tsushima Day Commemoration Project Promotion Committee at the City Hall Citizens’ Hall on the 19th.
