[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사를 단장으로 한 경남대표단이 현지 시간 13일 오후, 폴란드 최대 규모의 민간 조선소인 레몬토바(Remontowa Shiprepair Yard S.A.) 조선소를 방문해 비즈니스테이블을 개최하는 등 조선·방위 산업 분야의 세일즈 외교 활동을 펼쳤다.

 

지난해 폴란드 방문을 통해 FA‑50 전투기를 운용중인 민스크 기지를 방문하고 폴란드 국제방산전시회(MSPO 2024)에서 폴란드 대통령과 육상 및 항공 방위산업 세일즈에 집중했다면, 올해 폴란드를 방문한 이유는 오르카 프로젝트로 불리는8조원 규모의 폴란드 잠수함 건조 사업 수주를 지원하는 차원이다. 

 

폴란드 정부는 8조 원 규모의 잠수함 3척 도입을 목표로 올해 하반기 우선협상대상자를 선정할 예정이며 도내 기업인 한화오션은 세계 유수 방산업체들과 치열한 경쟁을 벌이고 있다.

박 지사는 한화오션과 함께 폴란드 최대 민간 조선소인 레몬토바를 방문해 한화오션과 레몬토바 조선소 간의 조선·방산 분야 협력 확대 방안을 논의하고, 유럽시장 공동 진출을 위한 전략적 협력 관계를 강화하는 데 힘을 실었다.
