[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 제21대 대통령선거 사전투표일을 하루 앞둔 28일 원활한 투표 진행을 위해 관내 사전투표소를 최종 점검했다.

 

장금용 권한대행은 관내 55개 사전투표소에서 진행된 사전투표 모의시험 일정에 맞춰 명곡동 사전투표소를 방문해 투표소 설비와 통신망을 점검하고, 모의시험에 직접 참여해 투표 전 과정을 빠짐없이 확인했다.

 

특히 지난해 치러진 제22대 국회의원선거 당시 서울, 부산 등 일부 지역 사전투표소에서 불법 카메라가 발견된 점을 고려해 불법 설치물에 대한 특별점검을 시행하고, 안전사고 예방과 장애인 편의시설 확보 등에 대해 꼼꼼한 확인을 당부했다. 

 

시는 사전투표가 시작되는 29일부터 개표가 마무리되는 오는 6월 4일까지 ‘투·개표 지원상황실’을 운영해 투‧개표 상황을 체계적으로 관리하고 각종 사건‧사고에 신속히 대응할 계획이다. 

 

장금용 창원특례시장 권한대행은 “선거 지원 업무는 법정 사무로서 단 한 치의 빈틈도 있어서는 안 된다”며 “투표가 공정하고 원활하게 진행될 수 있도록 선거 종료시까지 철저히 관리하고 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

 

한편, 제21대 대통령선거 사전투표는 29~30일 이틀간 오전 6시부터 오후 6시까지 진행된다. 유권자는 (모바일)주민등록증, 여권, 운전면허증 등 신분증을 지참하여 전국 사전투표소 어디서나 투표할 수 있으며, 사전투표소 위치는 중앙선거관리위원회 누리집에서 확인할 수 있다.
