[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 관광종합개발계획 수립 착수보고회가 14일 열렸다.

관광종합개발계획은 김해시의 관광자원과 인프라를 기반으로 글로컬 관광도시를 향한 향후 5년간 중·장기 관광정책을 수립하기 위한 것으로 김해연구원이 사업을 수행한다.

보고회에는 김해시관광진흥자문위원회, 김해문화관광재단 관계자와 시청 관계부서장 등 40여명이 참석해 김해시 관광 발전을 위한 다양한 의견을 나눴다.

김해시는 2023년 대성동고분군 유네스코 세계유산 등재, 2024년 3대 메가이벤트 개최, 김해문화관광재단 출범 등 관광도시 도약을 위한 탄탄한 기반을 마련했다.

이날 보고회에서는 이러한 성과를 바탕으로 지속 가능한 관광 발전을 위한 구체적인 비전과 목표를 설정하는 데 중점을 뒀다.

송둘순 관광과장은 “이번 계획 수립으로 지역경제 활성화와 관광사업 경쟁력을 강화하겠다”며 “김해시를 ‘글로컬 관광도시’로 성장시켜 보다 많은 국내외 관광객들이 찾는 도시가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
