[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도의 2024년 합계출산율과 출생아 수, 혼인건수가 함께 증가하며, 반등세로 전환했다.

 

지난 26일 통계청 발표 자료에 따르면 2024년 경상남도의 합계출산율이 0.82명으로 전년도 대비 0.02명 증가했다. 

 

이는 전국 합계출산율 0.75명을 상회하는 수치로 2015년 1.44명을 기록한 이후 지속적으로 감소하다 9년 만에 반등했다.

 

경상남도의 출생아 수 또한 지난해 1만3,076명으로 전년대비 27명이 늘어나며 10년 만에 반등했다. 

 

경상남도의 출생아 수는 2000년대 평균 3만 명대를 유지해 왔으나, 2013년 3만 명 아래로 떨어졌고, 2019년에는 2만 명 이하로 줄어들며 2023년 1만3,049명으로 역대 최저치를 기록했었다.

 

혼인 건수 역시 11년 만에 증가했다. 

 

경상남도의 혼인 건수는 2014년부터 지속적으로 감소해 왔으나, 지난해 11,429건으로 2023년 대비 11.7%가 증가했다. 

통상 혼인 후 2~3년 이내 출산으로 이어지므로 향후 경상남도의 출생아 수 증가에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다.

 

반면, 경상남도의 연간 순유출은 지속되고 있으나, 최근 3년간 인구 유출 규모가 감소하는 추세다. 

 

2024년에는 9,069명이 순유출되며 2019년 이후 인구 유출 규모가 가장 작았다. 

 

올해 1월 역시 590명이 유출되었으나, 지난해 1월 1,173명이 유출된 데 비해 절반 수준으로 감소했다. 

 

2020년 이후 1월 순유출 가운데 가장 낮은 수치로 인구유출 감소세가 올해에도 이어질 것으로 보인다.

 

경상남도의 등록외국인 수는 2022년 이후 지속적으로 늘어나고 있다. 

 

지난해 11월 처음으로 10만 명을 넘은 이후, 올해 1월 기준 10만 3,364명으로 전국에서 세 번째로 많은 규모이다.

 

김기영 경남도 기획조정실장은 “인구 반등 추세가 지속될 수 있도록 올해 인구대책의 실효성을 높여 정책적으로 뒷받침해 나가겠다”면서, “현장의견을 바탕으로 정책을 지속적으로 수정‧보완하고, 성과가 낮은 사업들은 과감하게 정리해서 성과중심으로 사업을 재편해 나갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 전했다.

 

한편, 올해 경상남도는 2025년 인구정책 시행계획을 바탕으로 저출생 극복과 청년유출 대응, 생활인구 활성화에 집중적으로 대응해 2030년 경남 총인구 330만명 유지를 위해 노력해 나갈 계획이다.
