[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 20일 서울 서초구와 상호협력과 공동발전을 위해 서초구청에서 업무협약식을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

 

이날 협약식에는 조규일 진주시장과 전성수 서초구청장, 진주시 기획행정국장과 서초구 문화행정국장 및 양 도시의 관계 공무원들이 참석했다. 

 

이번 협약은 조규일 시장이 도농상생 활성화 사업을 벌이고 있는 서초구를 방문해 전성수 구청장과의 간담회 자리에서 농산물 판매를 위한 자매도시 결연을 제안하면서 성사됐다.

 

양 도시는 협약을 통해 문화·예술·체육 분야, 공원녹지·정원 분야, 농업 분야, 산업·경제 분야 등 다양한 분야에서 공동 발전을 도모하기로 합의했다. 

 

조규일 진주시장은 “신선농산물 1위 수출도시, 빛 담은 문화도시 진주시가 서초구와 여러 분야의 공동사업을 발굴해 상호 발전할 수 있길 기대한다”고 말했다.

 

전성수 서초구청장도 “이번 업무협약을 통해 다양한 분야에서 동반상생 하는 관계로 성장하기를 바란다”고 화답했다.
